"I DEMAND MORE FATE"

Yo guys. Last night Drew finished tracking vocals for songs 5 and 6. It sounds fucking brutal! We have some more final changes to be made before they are finally complete... but we were all too tired last night to stay at the studio an extra hour. We will be putting all final and finishing touches on the songs in the next session.

FOR ALL BANDS WHO NEED TO RECORD (in the Sacramento or immediately outlying areas):

All our recordings are done through Mayhemeness Studio. You can choose between a per song rate or an hourly rate.

PER SONG RATE:
$150 / song - 1 day limit
$666 / 5 songs - 6 day limit
(additional songs after 5 are $120 with a one day limit)
Time needed after limit reached goes by hourly rate

HOURLY RATE:
$25 / hour

Both rates include: Set-up, Tracking, Mixing, and Mastering

PAYMENT:
Before a mastered copy of you music is given to you, you have to pay for it. Like before you leave Safeway with your 12 pack of Natural Ice and KY, you have to pay for it.

Mayhemeness also comes equipped with an N64 for your playing pleasure while you record. You can check out all his recordings on his MySpace. To book time at Mayhemeness, call Bob @ (916) 821 8895.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT CD'S OF NEW MATERIAL:
We are making CD's now with all the new material on them. We're going to be selling them for $4 ($1 / song). THESE WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT SHOWS, so pick them up when we come through your town.

STUDIO UPDATE (Instrument Tracking Complete!)

ALL THE TRACKING FOR INSTRUMENTS IS FINISHED! Let me tell you guys, Bob at Mayhemeness Studio really outdid himself this time, doubling the mic count on the guitars. This gave the guitars an awesome and very FULL sound. the drums are all done as well, and have a powerful and precise sound. We are going back into the studio on Sunday to record the vocals for these two new tracks. The lyrics Drew has written are phenomenal as always. I'm really sorry to say that we are not going to be releasing these songs until we sign again, and record our next full length album. We want you guys to be blown away with the CD and have as much NEW MATERIAL on it as possible! Expect this to be released 2010 sometime.

ALSO!

More of the March tour dates with THE NINTH GATE are being confirmed!

March 18th in San Diego, CA is close to being confirmed, as well as March 19th in Mesa, AZ. We are thinking we will most likely have to take March 17th as a day off... SO IF YOU LIVE IN BETWEEN BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIA AND SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA LET US STAY AT YOUR HOUSE, WE HATE SLEEPING IN THE VAN, ITS TERRIBLY COLD.

Soon we should have tour flyers for both tours up and being posted everywhere!

Thanks for reading guys, I will try to post another update soon!

STUDIO UPDATE (Drum Tracking Begins)

Yo guys! I wanted to give you all a studio update! Today we started recording two more pre-production songs at Mayhemeness Studio in Sac. These songs are already sounding brutal, even with just the scratch and drum tracks done. In a few minutes we're gonna start editing the drums, and get them perfect for when Bryce, Kyle, Devin, and Drew come in on the 19th to track.

I'll post a new update on the 19th after tracking is complete.

02/15/09 - All Pro Pizza / VISALIA, CA

Holy shit Visalia. That's all I can say. This show was one of the funnest shows we have played this year so far. Where the fuck is Visalia? I don't know... but 191 kids showed up to ALL PRO PIZZA for the 7-band bill tonight. The promoters there are awesome and are just what the underground metal scene needs to get back on its feet.

We will DEFINATELY be coming back to Visalia anytime we are intived.

Thanks to all the kids that came out, the promoters, and the other bands that played.

New Material Updates

Hey guys! I've been getting a lot of messages on the Myspace asking about our new songs and what our plans are for the future. Since we parted ways with MetalBlade we've been working our asses off to try and make music that would get us noticed by another label. Here's the outline pretty much of what we want to go down.

1. Write new music - So far we have about six (6) new songs, four (4) of which are up on the myspace player. The reason we took off all the songs from the Vultures release was because we wanted to forge a new beginning, a new style, and pretty much a new band with our new material.

2. Press package - A press package is probably one of the single most important tools a band has to communicate with a label seeking artists. A well put together press package consists of:
A. Demo Songs
B. Band Bio
C. Tour History
D. Promo Pics
E. Recorded Live Performance
F. Any Other Releases (in our case this would mean sending a copy of Vultures, but this is
     optional obviously)

3. TOUR - Touring is probably the best thing I have ever done. Its you and your four best friends all in a van together driving across the country to play your Satan music to kids. This is pretty much what I want to do the rest of my life (whether if be with this band or not). One of the things a lot of people don't know is that the bands VERY RARELY book their own tours. I get some messages here and there asking us if a band can open for us, or if they can hop on the bill of a certain show, and guys its really not up to us. Sometimes I wish it was because we understand you guys are in the same situation as we are; trying to get yourself out there; and it sucks to have to tell someone that we can't do anything for them.

Right now we are working full-time trying to get a deal going, and trying to get ourselves out there as much as we can. Hopefully these mini-tours coming up in March and April will give us the final push we've been looking for. We have been recording all our new songs as we write them for pre-production purposes. It is a hundred times better to go into a professional studio with a pre-production demo so the engineer wont be fumbling around in the dark. He can have all the effects and add-ins right in front of him, which makes the process less time consuming, and ultimately saves the record label money on recording (they love anything that will save money). We have recorded ALL of our pre-production demo songs with a really close friend of ours Bobby Swanson @ Mayhemeness Studios. He has really cheap rates, and really high quality recordings, and he's amazing at what he does, hit him up if you are in a band in the Sacramento (or outlying) areas and you need quality recording

We're about to leave for our show in Visalia tonight, I hope to see everyone out there, come to the merch table and say what's up, we always love talking to you guys.

Starting Out... (March and April Tour Dates)

Hey guys! Thanks for checking out our new Tour Blog! I (jake) decided this blog would be a good way to stay in touch with our fans, and to let you guys in on what's going on in our band and our lives. Most people don't think about the fact that we're just 5 dudes who like metal, we're just the same as you are. I'll let you in on the story so far (this is going to be rough and patchy):

Fate formed over 5 years ago (none of us now were in the band then). Up until recently Justin Krahn was the only OG member, but he recently chose to part ways with the band to pursue a more full life of going to college and working. Fast forward ---> August 2006. Fate has a mass loss of members and their MetalBlade contract hangs in the balance. Fate acquires Devin Durrett (bass), Bryce Yuson (guitar), and Jacob Durrett (drums) from broken-up local Sacramento band Debello Castrum. This new lineup forges forward to write Fate's MetalBlade debut "Vultures" which releases on April 29th, 2007 (you can purchase this CD online from the MetalBlade Online Store). The band was scheduled to do tour all that winter to support the release of Vultures, but had a severe van flip on the icy freeways of Wyoming. This crash and other complications forced Fate to part ways with MetalBlade. We then acquired former Conducting From The Grave vocalist Drew Winter, and we have since been writing new material which you can check out on our MySpace.

So since the van crashing in Wyoming (which sucked balls it was like 2 degrees outside) we have been trying to get back out on the road. We have been working pretty hard on writing new material that pushes the boundaries of our genre, and our skills. Our good friend Joel Haston (Process Records) hit us up about setting up a mini-tour with one of his new bands THE NINTH GATE. We agreed with him this would be a good oppurtunity for us seeing as how long we've been stuck here in Sac on our butts writing new material since the van flip (we have since purchased another van which we dubbed "Eisengarde"). So right now we have about six of those dates booked, and four yet to be booked. I am personally really excited for this mini-tour coming up, because we play a stop in Bakersfield @ Jerry's Pizza with our friends MOLOTOV SOLUTION. These guys fucking rip and they just recorded their MetalBlade debut with TIM LAMBESIS of AILD, which is incredible.
